who IS ALEX MOTTA?
Alex Motta is Motta Weddings. A Melbourne based photographer who has been working professionally for over 16 years and has documented over 500 weddings in Australia and World wide.
Alex was born in the North of Italy near Lake Como but has roots in the Southern island of Sicily. He came to Australia as a boy where he developed a passion for art and photography.
Alex (and his family of 4) is based in the Yarra Ranges but shoots weddings anywhere in Victoria, from the Yarra Valley to the Mornington Peninsula, Melbourne CBD and beyond.
During the Melbourne Winter months the Motta family escape to Italy and base themselves in Sicily, they travel to document weddings all over the country from Tuscany to Rome and Sicily.
As much as Motta Weddings primarily focuses on Wedding Photography our services extend to Videography, Content Creation, Film photography, Album design and more.

Alex prides himself on customer service and ensures that each of his couples have the best experience not only on the day but the lead up to and beyond the delivery stage.
His images and style is described as bright and colourful with a blend of editorial black and whites - Modern yet Timeless wedding photography.
Alex says. “I like to describe my photos as vibrant and colourful like an Aperol Spritz on a warm summers day. My photos reflect that “Italian Dolce Vita” with a classical editorial nostalgia, like the vintage Audrey Hepburn film A Roman Holiday”
Alex adds, “My photos feel fun and candid yet polished and refined. Capturing moments in an artistic and natural way is important to me. I’m confident in giving a little bit of direction if required but mainly letting the day unfold naturally to create the most genuine and heartfelt moments”
